The STOFF Nagel candle holder is considered a masterpiece of 1960s West German design. The concept was born when Hans Nagel, a metalwork manufacturer, fell while skiing in the Alps. Fascinated by the perfect, three-holed symmetry his fingers left in the snow, he commissioned architect Werner Stoff to create a candle holder based on that exact tripod shape. The result was a revolutionary, interlocking modular design that has since been meticulously relaunched by STOFF Copenhagen, utilizing Stoff’s original architectural drawings

STOFF Nagel holders require a very specific, ultra-slim taper candle. Standard taper candles will not fit. The holders are engineered precisely for candles with a diameter of 1.3 cm (approx. 0.5 inches). To ensure a flawless fit, Amiramour supplies custom-made, hand-dipped taper candles by the renowned Danish brand Ester & Erik, ensuring they sit perfectly upright without wobbling.

Never use a knife or sharp tool to scrape wax off your STOFF Nagel pieces, as this will permanently scratch the chrome, brass, or matte black finishes. Expert care dictates placing the wax-covered modules in hot water (around 75°C / 165°F—do not use boiling water) with a drop of mild dish soap for about 15 minutes. The wax will soften and float to the top, allowing you to simply wipe the metal clean with a soft microfiber cloth.

The STOFF remote control allows you to operate an entire sculpture of Uyuni LED taper candles simultaneously—perfect for large centerpieces or tall floor stands. It features a built-in timer that allows you to set the candles to turn off automatically after 4, 6, 8, or 10 hours.
