Originally starting as a silver trading company, Edzard quickly gained a reputation for designing and manufacturing premium silver-plated goods, stainless steel items, and luxury crystal glass accessories for high-end dining and lifestyle markets across Europe.
The items in this collection, such as the Regina Candelabra and the Babou Hurricane Holders, are silver-plated. Edzard is famous for its "Qualiplated" silver plating—an extra-strong, heavy silver plating technique designed to ensure the longevity and high-polish brilliance of their products over many years of use.
Edzard products are crafted in Germany, where the brand continues its legacy of combining traditional techniques with modern design elements.
It depends on the item. The Regina 5-arm candelabra is designed to hold standard tall taper candles (dinner candles). The Granada and Kingston hurricane lamps feature flat bases inside the glass, making them ideal for wide pillar candles or large tealights, which prevents wax from dripping onto your table.
