Silk-Ka

Silk-ka was founded in 1987 in Hengelo, the Netherlands, by Patrick Oude Groeniger. Growing up in his father’s flower shop, Patrick developed a deep passion for floral arrangement. However, a severe allergy to fresh flowers threatened to end his career. Pivoting his expertise, he began designing high-end artificial flowers. Today, almost 40 years later, Silk-ka is recognized globally by interior designers and luxury retailers as one of the finest designers and manufacturers of luxury faux botanicals, celebrated for capturing the precise textures, color gradients, and movement of real plants.

Silk-ka refuses to use standard, mass-produced plastics. Instead, they utilize premium, handcrafted textiles—primarily waxed silk and proprietary "real-touch" synthetic blends. The waxed silk allows the artisans to replicate the delicate, semi-translucent nature of real petals, while the real-touch materials ensure that the stems and leaves feel incredibly authentic when handled.
