Fürstenberg was founded in 1747 by Duke Carl I of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. It holds the prestigious title of being Germany's second-oldest porcelain manufacturer that still operates at its original founding site—the historic Fürstenberg Castle in Lower Saxony.
