Jean Cocteau by Raynaud

Jean Cocteau (1889–1963), French poet, illustrator, painter, playwright, and film-maker, was also a passionate ceramist, creating over 300 earthenware pieces between 1957 and 1963. His work features pure lines and mythical motifs, heroes, angels, plants, and figures from tales, faithful to the style of his drawings.

In collaboration with the Comité Jean Cocteau, Raynaud reinterprets these creations on Limoges porcelain. With matt pastel backgrounds and finely drawn mythological profiles such as Orpheus, Eurydice, and Antinous, the collection pays tribute to Cocteau’s timeless artistry. Platinum-accented coffee cups and limited-edition pieces complete this elegant homage.
