Luxury Christmas Table Setting Trends and Inspiration for 2025
Creating a memorable Christmas table is the art of blending thoughtful design, luxurious materials, and a subtle balance between tradition and modernity. This year, we styled a table that captures the charm of classic Christmas colours while embracing contemporary finishes: white glitter, silver accents, and refined touches of red.
In this article, we take you through our 2025 festive table setting and explore the season’s most sought-after colour palettes and accessories. From crisp whites to rich plaids, velvet bows, and shimmering metallics. Christmas decor this year leans into a timeless aesthetic with an elevated, modern twist.

A Fresh Perspective on the White & Red Christmas Palette
Our inspiration began with the idea of reimagining a traditional red-and-white Christmas setting through a sophisticated lens. Clean lines, mixed textures, and glimmering surfaces merge to create a luminous atmosphere. Magical, luxurious, and undeniably festive!
At the base, we chose the Silverline Cotton Tablecloth in White by Roseberry Home, custom-made to drape generously over our large table, offering a pristine, tailored canvas. Over this crisp foundation, metallic silver Bloom Gunmetal Placemats by Chilewich were placed to add subtle structure.
For cutlery, the sculpted silhouette of the Arcade Collection by Robbe & Berking was the right fit. Silver-plated pieces that carry slender stems traced with polished bands and that distinctive V-shaped detail at the end of their handle that catches light beautifully.
Against this white canvas, the deep rooibos hue of Florence Teflon-Coated Linen Napkins by Alexandre Turpault introduce warmth. Their rich hue anchors the white landscape. Wrapped with Bloom Napkin Rings by Kim Seybert, an arrangement of natural quartz radiating from a gleaming silver core, they feel like jewellery laid at each place setting, instantly elevating the experience for every guest.

Centerpieces, Lighting & Seasonal Decor Pieces
A refined winter scene gradually takes shape along the centre of the table. We created height and gentle glow using a trio of hurricane candle holders from Edzard. The Hurricane Candle Holder H 20 cm, H 15 cm, and H 13 cm form an elegant rhythm of ascending and descending heights. Their clear glass bowls rest in sculpted steel antlers, blending alpine charm with refined craftsmanship.
Inside each holder, LED candles by Uyuni Lighting in three different sizes : 15 cm , 10 cm, and 2.8cm with their warm glow flicker softly through the glass, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere.
To build a magical winter narrative, we thoughtfully arranged Glass Christmas Trees in Glittery White by Shishi. They rise from a base of snowy White Glitter Pine Branches by Enzo De Gasperi, shimmering like frost under candlelight. Their surface catch the light, scattering reflections like falling snow.
Snowball ornaments add dimension, while tall Ester & Erik cone candles offer sculptural height. Their self-standing smooth silhouettes are pocking through the enchanting tiny forest.

To continue the silver theme, we selected elegant serveware: the Elegance Butter Dish by Ercuis and the Regards Oil & Vinegar Cruet Set.
Ruby-toned glasses from the Dolce Vita Collection by Mario Luca Giusti introduce more red tones, while the Stella Satin White Dinnerware by Fürstenberg offers a soft porcelain surface that complements the table’s delicate palette.

Exploring Colour & Texture: Traditional Palettes in Refined Materials
While the white-silver-red palette offers timeless elegance, this Christmas welcomes a range of captivating combinations that reinterpret tradition with sophistication.

Lush greenery is trending this 2025 holiday season. Sprigs of fir, spruce, eucalyptus or holly branches create a naturally elegant foundation next to shimmering accents. When paired with richly saturated hues such as berry, plum, burgundy, or charcoal, the effect becomes truly sophisticated. Napkins like the Dip Dye Linen Napkin in Red Berry & Plum or the Dip Dye Linen Napkin in Grey & Black have a modern, artistic look. Together, the organic texture of greenery and the depth of darker hues create a refined interplay.
Plaid patterns are making a strong return. The richness of the Red Tartan Placemats by Roseberry Home or the festive intricacy of the Holiday Threads Placemat by Kim Seybert pair beautifully with the Royal Green Linen Table Runner and Royal Green Linen Napkins, tied with Red Velvet Bows. The effect is festive yet elevated, reminiscent of grand chalets and heritage holiday gatherings, reimagined for modern dining spaces.
Navy blue enters the conversation this year as a distinguished alternative to the traditional red-green-gold palette. Combine Blue Plaid Placemats with the Royal Blue Tablecloth and Royal Blue Napkins and the look becomes serene and wintery. Ivory Velvet Bows soften the palette, introducing gentle luminosity that contrasts beautifully with deep blue tones.

Glamorous accents in classic palettes like the shimmering Holly and Sprig Placemat by Kim Seybert. This placemat is made using over 25 different beads and sequins, framing the dinner plate with enchanting flair. Another brilliant option is the radiant Forest Placemat echoing the allure of a forest canopy. Clusters of dyed glass beads and semi-precious chip beads in greens and golds fashion an organic border. Delicate beadwork in greens and golds weaves coil-like patterns at the center. For a bold touch, choose the vibrant Palisade Placemat in Red. These pieces anchor the festive spirit while maintaining the sophistication expected in refined settings.

Trending Accessories: Bows, Draped Tablecloths & Mixed Metallics
Velvet bows are essential for Christmas 2025. Their plush texture introduces warmth and depth, creating a beautiful contrast against crisp linens, shimmering glassware, and polished metals. Whether tied around napkins, placed along the table’s edge, or layered into wreaths and garlands, velvet bows bring a sense of charm and refinement.
Rich tones like the Red Velvet Bows, the earthy depth of Brown Velvet Bows, or the cool balance of Gray Velvet Bows, add softness to any holiday display. For statement pieces, the Large Velvet Bow Ornament in Gray with Gold Glitter by Shishi adds spectacular dimension.

Full-length tablecloths also define this year’s aesthetic. Generously draped fabrics, designed to fall long and fluid along the sides of the table create a theatrical presence. Their soft, cascading folds add movement and dimension. You can even pinch and lift sections of the fabric to form delicate gathered edges, giving the table a graceful, contoured silhouette. Whether crafted from linen, cotton, or subtly textured weaves, these voluminous tablecloths bring a refined, tailored softness that elevates the entire holiday setting.
The graceful flow of Florence Tablecloth in Kaki Linen or the purity of Oceanide Tablecloth in White Linen create a beautiful base. Customizable designs such as the White Cotton Tablecloth with Red Stripe Border allow you to tailor your vision.

Mixed metallics continue to shine. Rather than choosing between gold or silver, the modern approach layers the two to create a sophisticated interplay of warmth and coolness. Whether expressed through placemats, napkin rings, candle holders, or delicate rimmed dinnerware, mixed metallics catch the light beautifully and lend glamour to the entire tablescape. The result is a harmonious, shimmering finish that enhances every detail without overwhelming the scene.

Pair the sparkling Ray Placemat in Gold and Crystal with the Gilded Spray Napkin Ring for an elegant interplay of tones. The Palisade Placemat in Gold and Silver with matching Palisade Coasters make the tablescape feel curated and refined.

Dinnerware becomes the anchor of the visual flow. The timeless Mazurka White Gold Collection by Raynaud exhudes classic elegance, while modern options such as Mineral Irise Celadon and Mineral Gold offer contemporary sophistication. For full festive splendour, Souffle d’Or by Haviland creates a dazzling holiday atmosphere.
A Final Note on This Year’s Holiday Aesthetic
Christmas 2025 embraces tradition through a modern lens. Classic colours rediscover their charm with elevated textures, shimmering finishes, and generous layers. Whether you gravitate toward pure whites and silver, rich plaids, navy blues, or refined golds, the magic lies in the thoughtful interplay of materials, light, and detail.
A beautifully styled table is more than decoration, it shapes unforgettable holiday moments. With carefully chosen pieces and deliberate layering, your dining space can reflect warmth, elegance, and joy in a way that deeply resonates with your guests.
Let your table tell a story, one of refinement, artistry, and timeless festive spirit!
