The Vase Cotisso Acqua Murano Glass by Casa Rialto is a one-of-a-kind sculptural object handcrafted in Venice as part of the Casarialto Atelier project. Designed by Catherine and brought to life by renowned Murano master Martino Signoretto.
Cotisso refers to the raw blocks of Murano glass formed by breaking the crucible at the end of the glassmaking process. In this unique piece, the block is kept in its pure, monochromatic form and transformed into an artwork with striking decorative appeal. On the surface, colored glass stones, in shades of blue, green, light green, and a delicate touch of red, evoke the shimmering tones of water, with a small red fish appearing to swim across the translucent surface.
Each vase is entirely handmade, shaped without moulds, making it a rare and collectible object that embodies the soul of Venetian glassmaking and contemporary artistic expression.
